It’s a cold wet Saturday afternoon in March 1941 as they queue for the film “The Philadelphia Story” starring Katherine Hepburn. Because of War time restrictions cinema continuous performance ceased at 7 pm. All lighting has been stripped out of the metal signage as have the bulbs been removed from the central street lamp standard.
