Clio Square Cinema

The Clio Cinema opened on August 21, 1974 with Paul Newman in “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”. It was a single screen theatre. By 2000 it had been expanded to 4 screens with the new name Clio Cinemas. The theatre was operated by NCG Cinemas showing first run attractions.

The Clio Cinemas were closed on March 20, 2011. It was reopened in December 2011 by Emagine Entertainment who also operate the Cinema Hollywood in Birch Run. It was closed by 2017.

After this cinema closed, NCG moved equipment from this cinema to the recently reopened Courtland Cinemas in Burton.

I learned that last December Emagine Entertainment, which owns Cinema Hollywood in Birch Run, has reopened this cinema which has been renamed Clio Square Cinema.
