The Braden Theater was a longtime theater in Presque Isle opening in around 1951. It was forced to close in 1993 when a megaplex was built nearby. It had an original seating capacity of 630. The building was used by the Perham North Star church for many years.
It was reported that the Braden Theater reopened in March 2008, now with three screens.

In 1963, the Braden was operated by Charles Brooks Theaters, headquartered in Ashland, Maine. Brooks Theaters also ran the Presque Isle Drive-In at the time, along with some other theaters in Ashland, Eagle Lake and Fort Kent.
The Braden now has 3 screens with a total of 473 seats and reopened on March 1, 2008, according to an article in the “University Times”, published by the Univ. of Maine at Presque Isle.
Make that 476 seats ( 144/161/171).
The Theatre Historical Society on-line archive has the MGM Theatre Report for the “Branden” Theatre in Presque Isle; it’s Card # 433. But no one filled it out, so there is no info. There is an undated exterior photo. Most of the photos on these cards which have no information on them were taken between 1946 and 1950.
