This photograph taken in 1975 shows the decline of ‘The Cinema'gone are the neon hoops on the mast with much of the other neon dressing, also some of the lettering from the central tower, it appears lighting the front now rests with the council lamp post to provide night illumination. In 1983 seating capacity had dropped to 700 efforts were made by the new owner Mr Markwick to make drastic repairs broken flooring, new seats, carpeting, redecorating exterior and interior, the auditorium walls still had the original Mollo & Egan decoration!!! 1985 saw the twinning with the name change to 'Picture House’. In 1987 the ‘Picture House’ became a triple.
