Operations Manager

OPERATIONS:

• Monitor the opening times of all locations and provide opening management if any manager or assistant manager fails to arrive on time.
• Manage business levels throughout the day with each manager to ensure that payroll budgets are within company guidelines and that sales ratios are maintained. Be available to audit any location throughout the day if ratios indicate a problem.
• Work with each manager to complete their daily responsibilities (managerâ€\s daily certification) and provide assistance to maintain optimum customer service.
• Supervise independent quality control auditors and resolve problems in an expedient manner.
• Supervise and manage the office staff through their daily assignments.

AUDITING:

• Conduct or review the field manager’s weekly theatre audits for resolution of all problems per company policy and procedures.
• Monitor par stock levels for maximum effectiveness.
• Audit the daily bank accounting for accuracy and shortages.
• Conduct an internal audit of daily / weekly paperwork for problems and apply company policy as required.

BUDGET CONTROL:

• Post to the cash forecast in order to approve expenditures within company budgets.
• Post income and expenses to the P&L vs Budget statements for each entity on a weekly basis. Work with the field manager and managers to provide the highest profit margin possible. Provide instructions as necessary to keep expenses to a minimum.
• Approve payroll schedules every week and change through the manager if necessary to conform with budget criteria.
• Train each manager in utility conservation measures to keep costs within budget.
• Train each manager in concession cost controls through weekly monitoring of inventories and yields.
• Train each manager in basic maintenance procedures to cut repair costs.
• Obtain bids on supplies, services, and repairs at least every six months.
• Monitor the competitionâ€\s admission and concession prices every quarter to maintain the best competitive edge possible.
• Create and implement new marketing programs to increase income on a quarterly basis.

HIRING, TRAINING AND EVALUATIONS:

• Interview and Hire or promote from within management personnel.
• Supervise the training of all management personnel with the field manager on a weekly basis.
• Monitor the hiring, training procedures and record keeping in all locations for compliance to labor laws.
• Train each manager in appropriate training procedures to keep turn over low and maintain lower payroll expenditures through cross training all personnel.
• Do an evaluation of each manager and assistant manger at the beginning of each quarter with the field manager.
• Every quarter provide bonuses, raises and promotions for outstanding performance.
• Evaluate each managerâ€\s monthly employee bonus program quarterly.
• Provide the managers and employees incentives and bonuses on a random basis.
• Maintain current evaluation files on each manager and assistant manager.
• Supervise the training of all management personnel with the field manager on a weekly basis.
• Make additional training assignments as necessary.
• Revise the company policy and procedure manual and implement new policies and procedures as necessary.

PROMOTIONS AND MARKETING:

• Work with the field manager and manager to implement one promotion in each theatre every quarter and one company promotion each quarter.
• Work with each school principal that we are providing reading incentives for on a quarterly basis.
• Approve marketing and promotion request.

ADVERTISING:

• Obtain bookings every Monday
• Create show schedules and fax to the managers. Obtain the managers input and adjust schedules to provide the optimum level of customer service and keep staffing levels to a minimum. Adjust intermission times to allow for time to clean all theatres as business levels change throughout the year.
• Fax show schedules to all managers, advertising agencies. Crosscheck newspaper proofs to show schedules and fax back corrections as needed.
• Crosscheck the actual ads to program schedules and monitor invoices for credit as necessary.

ACCOUNTING:

• Monitor the daily and master accounts payable for accuracy and timely payment.
• Contact vendors for credit as necessary.
• Ensure the accounts payable department has crosschecked all invoices against bid sheets, purchase orders, delivery receipts, and pricing lists.

PURCHASING:

• Bid out all product, supplies and services quarterly to maintain the highest profit margins.
• Monitor all par stock levels and provide adjustments throughout the year for seasonal changing business levels.
• Approve all purchase orders submitted by the managers and compare the requested expenditures to company budgets.
• Crosscheck all purchase orders to delivery receipts, inventories and invoices before approving for payment.

ACQUISITIONS:

• Create proformas for new locations, including equipment lists, break even scenarios, amortization and equipment lease schedules.
• Purchase all equipment through a three bid process.
• Outline and supervise the time frame for the installation of all equipment and create asset, personal property, supply, manual and warranty inventories.
• Set up filing system for daily, weekly, monthly paperwork, manuals and warranties.
• Hire and train management and staff.
