Any theatre no matter how much business it does is in danger if the landlord has someone willing to pay more then a theatre can. The Pacific-City Cinemas people DROOL over the money to be made for Cinema 1-2-3 it will happen as soon as the right offer comes along.
If City Cinemas (who used to operate this) or another operator who could get good product came here they might make a go of it. Even though the days of the single screen are over, the neighborhood is painfully under screened. I ran this theatre many eons ago and hate to see it close.
This theatre never caught on which is strange since it became the only game in town after all the 3rd Ave closings. I wonder if the 59 St. East is going to get primo bookings now?
Now that the Fantasy has been renovated its going to be another nail for the Lynbrooks coffin.
Anything going on here? I keep hoping it reopens hate to see it closed
Do they ever have screenings here open to the public?
Have any updates been done here?
This closed as a Quad

Such a busy area surprising this cant make a go of it, very sad.
WOW amazing already
I remember this booking did HUGE grosses here
Like one of the old Trans-Lux newsreel cinemas
So sad a true piece of Americana
Such showmanship
The East side used to be a BOOMING movie area. Other then the 3 films playing at Cinema 1-2-3 couldn’t this theatre have its pick of releases?
Wow I saw this double feature here. I LOVED this place
Beyond pathetic
How very sad I hope it survives
Wow 12 seats thats really tiny.
The new marquee is DISGUSTING. If you don’t know its a movie theatre driving by on the LIE you wont now.
Talk about an opportunity to open theatres. All of the Bronx has only 2 theatres? We have 3 theatres just in Forest Hills.

Its a junk store now.
Ed Solero I put that title up LOL
Has demo on the interior begun?
The nutty Staehles should be invited to opening night
