Well, it was good while it lasted. But still, this could have been a good 2nd run house but that’s okay, I love the nearby Cinemark at Seven Bridges and Loews Woodridge 18 so that’s great.
River Run just re-opened tonight showing movies that came out this past summer like: I Robot, DodgeBall, The Village, Collateral, Spider-Man 2 and Alien vs. Predator for free. And I can tell ya, when I got to the front entrance of the theater, it was packed to the 25th power! And from what I saw, this place changed a lot. I can’t wait for them to show new movies because I’ll be there again.
Fox Valley is about to get it’s theatre back. That’s right, Kerasotes Theatres will begin construction soon on ShowPlace 12 at Fox Valley Center. It is slated for 2005. Check their full list of projects here at: http://www.kerasotes.com/AboutTheaters.aspx
Deathtrap came out March 19th 1982. Also, this cinema was originally opened by Essaness Theatres, then Cineplex Odeon took over. By the way, what did this cinema look like on the inside? I would really like to know.
Sadly, Loews closed this cinema today. That’s a shame because I never been here. But, I wonder if it will be re-opened by somebody else or, will it be torn down? Anybody else have any thoughts?
Bryan, this cinema actually opened December 9th 1983 by Essaness Theatres with Sudden Impact and Yentl on three screens each. I know this because I have Microfilm on it. I myself have never been here so I don’t know how this cinema looks on the inside. Can anyone fill me in on this?
Thanks for the photo Bryan.
Was there a theater inside the mall before this one opened?
Does anybody have any pictures of this place? I have never been here before. And, if I did, I am way to young to remember it.
Does anybody know what month this place opened in 1984?
This theatre has recently been torn down. Check out the photo here at: Http://www.cinematour.com/picview.php?db=us&id=2614

BTW, Plitt opened Screens 7-10 in December 84.
Did you know that Aliens played here in 1986. I know this because I have Microfilm on it.
This theatre has six screens, not four.
