The idea of still using an elegant waterfall curtain in front of the screen should be used more often in new theatre construction. The MB does just this. It is the most beautiful new theatre in Seattle along with the Cinerama downtown. They have a nice curtain too.
This entrance was so much nicer than the present rough stone one. Auditorium looks like it is still intact. Would be nice if someone would restore the whole theatre. A great location for a cinema I would think. Very high end area now. Close to Phinney Ridge Seattle.
I saw 2001 here in the 60’s. Great experience. Also Bladerunner in a Cinerama style presentation with a special lense on the projector and it looked like authentic Cinerama. That was the best experience. Years ago too.
I saw 2001 at the Cinerama in Seattle the after it had played for just a few months probably when I was very young. That theatre was built around 1962 and was planned just for Cinerama. It was all screen and fastastic. Also saw Blade Runner years later there in a Cinerama like lense presentation. Wow! Nothng but the biggest and widest screen ever. The theatre is still open and the best place to see a film. All the lastest advances in film presentation show up here.
This beautiful theatre was always dramatic and elaborate. The lobby was large and had stained glass all over. Like a fantastic fantasy movie set just walking in. Saw many films there and it was called The Music Hall most of it’s years. Should still be part of Seattle’s theatre district.
The 150 had a huge, curved and wide screen and large domed auditorium. Saw Blade Runner there and it was wow! Great sound too. A class act and historic for a modern theatre. Should have been saved.
This was one of the most dramatic theatres in the country. Elegant and historical. Exterior is restored. Some of the original interior still exists. I saw this film here and it was a pleasure.
This great theatre was very elegant but was ruined inside about 1950. All the major elaborate trim was removed. Art deco style was installed. Now it is a store. Some of the ceiling and arch still exists above the store ceiling. The elaborate exterior is still the same and was restored. I never saw the orignal interior but went to the second remodel many times. Had lots of style too.
A handsome theatre modern post art deco lobby and building. What a loss for the city and historic theatres.
A great combo. This blockbuster film playing Hollywood theatre royalty.
Nice to see that this theatre has a new improved signage. This is a little plain. Great building detail work though.
Still one of the star theatres in Los Angeles. Cheers to many more years.
What a great candy colored postcard pic. Sign and cartoons are classic.
Interesting pic. Looks as scary as the featured film. Excellent.

This is a fantastic Art Deco theatre. Wow what a handsome design. Too bad it is not around anymore.
Great detail on this classic old building. Motif on top in center is awesome.
Streamline modern auditorium and wide screen. Timeless and classic theatre. Great.

A very elaborate and beautiful theatre that was a mediteranian fantasy. Large and dramatic. Should have been restored and saved.
A masterpiece of theatre style that has been lovingly restored and maintained to this day. Historic to the max.
