In 2014 a car dealership called “Macon Drive-In Motors” appeared to be operating on part of the lot, as Kenmore says, trees now engulf the remains of the concession building and ticket booth. It could be re-opened, but would need a virtual complete rebuild, a costly exercise.

According to the Cherokee Scout, the opening date was June 27, 1951 and it was located on Highway 64 “four miles east of Murphy”.
Looks like it was located at the current address of 2490 US-19E, Spruce Pine, NC 28777. However Kenmore might be able to find a better address.
Operated between 2008(?)- 2015. Last season was definitely 2015 as they couldn’t afford to upgrade to digital.

An old Google Earth image from September 2003 also shows NOTHING at this reported location, I’m also doubting it ever opened.
Apparently the last time this drive-in was operating was during the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, they had live matches on the screen.
The location now has an address on Google Earth, its 20918 MO-59, Noel.
